Watchmen, which is being developed by Lost and The Leftovers creator Damon Lindelof, will put a new spin on Alan Moore's seminal comic book, which is evident from the trailer. Here we saw a world made up of people wearing masks, including what appears to be a masked police force.

There's also an appearance from Jeremy Irons' character, who is believed to be an older Ozymandias, and Rorsarch sans his usual hat. It doesn't give anything away, but does provide plenty of intrigue.

The same can be said for Game of Thrones, with the few seconds offered coming from the opening of Season 8. We've already heard that the season kicks off with Jon, Daenerys et al arriving at Winterfell, in a mirror of King Robert and co landing there in Season 1.

Here we have Sansa being introduced to Daenerys and saying "Winterfell is yours", although she clearly isn't happy about it. There's not a great deal of time for the show to delve into the rivalry between Jon/Dany and Sansa, but the latter is understandably wary about this new Targaryen ruler. Still, those differences will need to be put aside when the dead come calling.

There are also looks at True Detective Season 3, Big Little Lies Season 2, and more of HBO's most anticipated offerings of 2019.
