Star Trek: Every Starfleet Uniform Ranked From WORST To BEST
3. Standard Duty Jumpsuits - 2370s - Early 2380s
Robert Blackman returned to Star Trek once again in Star Trek: First Contact, designing a new, darker uniform, this time to appear better on a big screen, while also suiting director Jonathan Frakes' colour palette for this latest iteration.
These grey-shouldered jumpsuits were similar in design to the previous uniforms seen on Deep Space Nine and Voyager, though they swapped the division colours underneath the main jumpsuit onto the undershirts.
Several variations of these uniforms were seen throughout their lifespan. Captains could opt for a jacket over a jumpsuit, something Captain Sisko often opted for. Both Sisko and Picard were seen sporting a vest, similar to the vest seen under the Monster Maroon, made from a similar material. Like Ro Laren's magically unfastening jumpsuit, Commander Kira was seen with a surprise jacket in Tacking Into The Wind.
Despite making contact with Starfleet in 2374, the USS Voyager did not adopt these uniforms, retaining the standard jumpsuit from the early 2370s.
