Star Trek: Picard - 6 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Broken Pieces'
“So, are you going to assimilate me now?”

After an entire half-season putting all of our players in place (you son of a b***h, Jean-Luc, I'm in!) Star Trek: Picard finally kicked into warp speed for the exciting conclusion of our story. Or rather, it would have, had we not stopped for pizza last week.
That left us with 3 episodes left in which to unravel all of our mysteries, wrap up all of our stories, and give all of our characters the closure they're going to need. Picard's debt to Data, the story of Soji's past, the Romulan / Federation conspiracy, the fate of the XBs, the ghosts that haunt Agnes, Rios and Raffi, and whatever the point in Elnor was; there's a lot to cram in.
But cram it in we must and the previews for Broken Pieces promised us fleets of starships, Romulans blowing their own brains out, and a return for Jeri Ryan's Seven of Nine. If you were missing the action last week, it was definitely coming back. However, if you were just missing the Rikers and that quintessential 'Star Trek' feel then, well, sorry guys, this is still a strange new world.
