2. Is This Not Just The Plot To Mass Effect?

So the secret of the Zhat Vash has finally been revealed and, according to them, an ancient race has left a warning to the galaxy about another race of super-predators who wait for synthetic life to reach a certain threshold before arriving and unleashing "hell" on the galaxy. Now, this is not exactly the same plot as Mass Effect, but it's also not not exactly the same plot as Mass Effect.

Whether or not that'll disappoint you is probably down to if you've played the game or not, but what felt like a compelling and unique premise will seem incredibly familiar to the millions of people who have now. Hopefully, it takes another twist before the conclusion, but right now there's a huge Commander Shepard vibe to the whole thing.
