Theres a test Plinkett uses that Im going to steal here: describe a character without reference to appearance, costume, or profession/role in the movie, with nothing Star Wars specific in your answer. Like the person youre talking to hasnt seen Star Wars. Its easy with the original characters, but for the prequels if you come up with more than one attribute per character, Ill mail you a pizza roll. (not really). Considering that, its pretty impressive that the characters in Clone Wars are quite well constructed. Obi-Wan, for instance, comes across as the embarrassing cool dad, the guy who tries to crack jokes all the time without realizing how terrible they are, the guy with the romantic past you find kinda weird. Theres Ahsoka, Anakin Skywalkers Jedi apprentice, who is audacious and foolhardy, brave and painfully young. And theres Anakin himself, who lives in fear of loss and pain, who will do anything and defy anyone to protect those he loves. And again, this is all with high-quality animated acting.
