Stranger Things Season 3: What Does The Ending Really Mean?

1. The Demogorgon Is Back

Much like last season's finale teased us with the return of an iconic Stranger Things villain in the Mind Flayer, Season 3 used a mid-credit scene to do the same.

That's right, after transporting a prisoner to what appeared to be a dungeon, the Russian guards locked him inside with a hungry Demogorgon - which feasted on the unfortunate soul.

Of course, this begs the question: How did they manage to get their hands on another version of the Season 1 Big Bad? Did they have more success with their prototype Upside Down-cracking weapon in Russia than they led us to believe, or did one of those young Demo-Dogs come back to life whenever they partially re-opened The Gate?

Now that yet another season has closed with a resident of the Upside Down on the right-side up, we shouldn't have to think too hard as to what will eventually cause the inter-dimensional madness in Season 4, should we?
