Yes we all get it: Penny was a tomboy who made questionable relationship choices and has no smarts other than what God gave her, plus what shes learned from the boys across the hall. Weve met her father and spent a little too much time at The Cheesecake Factory, and other than that, we have yet to see much else. With the show only picked up through Season 7, now is the time for Penny to get serious about her acting career, have some success, and bring her family to town so we can meet them all. I, for one, could go for a few more stories about her life in Nebraska as told through the eyes of those who know her best. But enough with the atypical boyfriend: if shes really into Leonard, why not get her a smart, serious boyfriend, similar to Leonard? Only then will Leonard feel the pressure to ultimately try and make it really work with Penny and only then will we all see the happy couple weve been waiting for.
