7. Things Will Get Worse Before They Get Better

Executive producer Steve Molaro teased: He is a man of science and hes been presented with a problem that he just cant think of a solution for. And its very frustrating. He doesnt immediately turn to anyone for support; instead, he is going to pursue Amy.

His thought processes can get pretty misguided in that he thinks, Oh, this will make her jealous and make her like me again, but that will only make her furious. Hes not good at leaving her alone. The one thing she was asked for was a little bit of time to think and hes not going to give that to her.

This very heavily suggests that Sheldon and Amy will be apart for some time and things are going to get a whole lot worse before they improve.
