3. Battlestar Is Dead

During Karli Morgenthau's incredible heart to heart talk with Sam, she let slip that she would happily kill the three people she murdered in the GRC bombing again if it would help her cause. She felt as though she had been tricked into saying it, but clearly death is little more than collateral damage to her at this point.

These killings had a meaning, with Karli making the bold decision in order to help get people across the world listening to the Flag Smashers and their message. This couldn't have been further from the murder of Lemar Hoskins however.

Battlestar, who stood by his partner through everything, was killed by Karli as he protected Captain America from the super soldier. This wasn't an effort on the Flag Smashers' part to send any message, this was merely an accident, as she had no reason to take his life.

All this ultimately achieved was making the newly powered John Walker mad. Lemar was his best friend, and the two had survived wars together, but he was cut down in the prime of his life by Karli Morgenthau, triggering Captain America to settle the score immediately...
