Whats been so impressive about The Flash to date is how it regularly introduces heroes and villains yet, despite how brief some of their appearances may be, they never feel like afterthoughts or merely villains-of-the-week for the most part. One of the briefest of these appearances came in the form of a rogue who turned up out of the blue. For once, there were no rumblings, rumours or speculation online, instead viewers were treated to the completely surprising, yet far too brief, appearance of King Shark during The Fury of the Firestorm. Earlier in the episode, wed seen Patty tease the notion of a humanoid shark in Central City, but it still came as a huge shock to see the villain appear in all his glory at the episodes close. Luckily for the Scarlet Speedster, a certain Harrison Wells was on hand to dispatch of King Shark.
