Since Patty Spivot was first introduced, shes been portrayed as a bubbly, awkward, likeable, nerdy cutie with eyes for Barry Allen. The burgeoning romance between her and Barry has been great to see play out, and the two really make for an awesome couple. As such, it was a huge shocker to see a slightly different side to the happy-go-lucky Patty. Sure, wed heard about how the reason that she became a cop was because Mark Mardon, aka Weather Wizard, killed her father, but the attitude of Patty completely changes with Mardon arrives back on the scene. Determined to take down the man who killed her pops, not even The Flash can get in Pattys way. The end of Running to Stand Still provided a massive shocker when Patty actually fired off a restraining mechanism at the The Flash, rendering the Sultan of Speed powerless to stop Patty from killing Mardon. Luckily, The Flash managed to talk her round, but the shot of her trapping the Scarlet Speedster was a huge twist.
