3. The Coming Of Killer Frost

We find out a massive shock (well, it would have been if the trailers hadn’t spoilt it) towards the end of this episode. As heavily signposted by Barry beforehand, Caitlin is revealed to be the character most affected by the timeline rewrite. She has developed freezing powers.

In case you haven't put two and two together yet, Caitlin's evil Earth-2 twin also had these abilities and went by the name Killer Frost. This version was much closer to the original supervillain from the comics. Is Caitlin about to go down the same route? Only time will tell.

The notion that one of the STAR Labs gang is hiding a secret metahuman ability from the rest also recalls Cisco’s secret vibing at the end of season one and throughout the first few episodes of season two. In that instance, Cisco eventually told his friends and they completely accepted him. This time around, I suspect they might be a little bit more worried.
