6. Entering Hell

What Last Day on Earth did brilliantly was how it brought a dirty, destructive and death-filled feel to the corner of the world that Negan inhabits.

When Rick and Co. finally get closer to Negan’s locale, the way the scenes were shot made it feel as if the group were literally entering hell. There was a wall of burning logs, there were roadblocks at every turn, the atmosphere and light was grim and gloomy, and added to the despair was that earlier-seen tortured guy thrown out to hang.

In how it presented Negan’s world before it even presented Negan, The Walking Dead delivered something truly special and twisted for its audiences to eerily enjoy.
