One of the series' main characters has got a new name! Due to copyright problems with Herge's The Adventures Of Tintin, the head of security on Tracy Island has been given a new moniker. She'll be known now as Tanusha "Kayo" Kyrano. It remains to be seen whether she's still Malaysian. Tin-Tin wasn't always head of security, though. In the original series, she acted as a secretary and lab assistant. Her new role seems to be a good step in a less sexist direction and further builds on the character's purpose in the 1960s show of injecting a female part into an otherwise men-only club. In the promo spots, fans are assured Kayo has many secrets to be revealed. Since Tin-Tin was related to the villainous bad guy, The Hood, in the original series, viewers might reasonably expect Kayo to know more about the Tracys' foe than she's letting on. Sounds like exciting times ahead for the Thunderbirds team!
