Bender volunteers to replace the evil Robot Santa who terrorises the world every Christmas. A comedy set in the far future really lets you have some fun when it comes to Christmas episodes. In Futurama, Christmas is a time for fear and packing heat in the hope that youll survive Robot Santas annual massacre. Although this premise was used brilliantly in the shows first Christmas episode Xmas Story, here it gets a lot more focus as Bender visits various houses delivering toys but finds himself attacked every time and eventually sentenced to death for the old Santas crimes. Its just an inventive premise with a lot of potential thats well-realised and has some great dark humour to it. It delivers on many levels and is a welcome departure from conventional Christmas sitcom episodes. Best Moment: The Professor turning the Planet Express building into an armoured fortress complete with Christmas lights that spell out Trespassers will be shot immediately before sending Fry, Leela, and Bender on a mission to Robot Santas base.
