Mary Andrews is Archie's mother who shares his trademark ginger hair. She is often shown to be better at dealing with Archie's hijinks than her husband is and is something of a peacekeeper in the Andrews household.

In The Show

In Riverdale, Mary and Archie's father, Fred, are separated. Mary lives in Chicago while Fred and Archie live in Riverdale, so her appearances on the show are pretty rare. When she does show up, though, she is portrayed by none other than Molly Ringwald, who looks as though she was practically taken right of the page.
