10 Awesome Ideas WWE Suddenly Stopped Doing
10. Women's Exclusive Premium Live Events
Claiming that women's wrestling has come a long way in the past decade is like saying Marvel Studios has done alright with their film universe. The division has clawed its way from Bra and Panties matches to incredible feats of storytelling and athletic prowess. The all-women's Evolution event was a massive milestone in this journey, so where has it gone?
As the WWE Women's Revolution (trademark Stephanie McMahon) raged on, fans got their wishes granted as they got to see more female-centered events. Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank, and Hell in a Cell, the wrestlers were finally getting their chance to show off, and the peak of this was Evolution.
This all women's show was a triumph that many thought would never happen. It certainly wasn't perfect, but neither was the first WrestleMania, so surely Evolution 2 would come along soon to iron out the kinks, right? Right?!
Well, no. The event has never received a follow-up, with different sources citing an array of reasons for not returning it. Even Triple H placed doubt on the show coming back in 2021 at the conference call for NXT TakeOver: In Your House, where he claimed an all-female event was "not a must-have at the moment."
Hopefully, this is something the company might explore again in the future, but don't hold your breath.
