10 Best WWE Pay-Per-Views Of The Past Decade

8. Payback 2014

Following WrestleMania XXX weekend, the two main conflicts in WWE were John Cena versus Bray Wyatt and Triple H versus The Shield. While both of those storylines were advanced at Extreme Rules, it wasn't until Payback that they'd be resolved - and in spectacular fashion, no less.

When The Shield turned on The Authority, Triple H called Evolution buddies Randy Orton and Batista to take on the upstart trio. The Shield scored the win at Extreme Rules when Reigns pinned Batista, but Evolution wasn't done. At Payback, the stables clashed one final time in a no holds barred elimination match.

This bout, an all-out war full of weaponry and unbelievable action, saw The Shield score a clean sweep over Evolution, asserting their dominance once and for all.

Cena and Wyatt, who had been at odds since the Royal Rumble, had split a pair of victories leading into a Last Man Standing match at Payback. That contest was also a wild brawl, with Erick Rowan and Luke Harper attacking "Big Match John", only to be challenged by The Usos.

Amidst all the interference and chaos, Cena hit Wyatt with an AA through a crate, keeping him down for a ten count.
