10 Big Concerns Heading Into WWE Payback 2020

2. Keith Lee Jobbing To Randy Orton

We've waited for Keith Lee's debut on Monday Night Raw for some time now, but it would appear that those of us who were waiting with a little trepidation were right to feel that way. WWE's track record of bringing NXT stars onto the main roster is patchy at best, with only a few of them achieving heights worthy of their talent, and Lee's long-awaited arrival didn't exactly scream 'star'.

You might think putting him in a match against Randy Orton on Raw was the company's way of showing faith in him, but that's only one way of looking at it. The other is that it was a mistake to pit him against a red hot Orton that can't afford to lose right now - something that resulted in an underwhelming DQ finish to Lee's first match on Raw.

Scheduling a rematch at Payback just sets the stage for more disappointment. It's highly unlikely that Orton will lose at two PPVs in a row - especially if the creative team want to make him seem like a legitimate threat to McIntyre's gold - so we're looking at a real possibility of Keith Lee getting buried by 'The Viper' in his PPV debut.

Maybe buried is a bit extreme as he could lose after a hard-fought battle, but after the poorly booked Raw debut, he kinda needs to win in his first PPV match.
