10 Biggest Booking Mistakes Of Roman Reigns' WWE Career

10. Coming Back From Injury And Feuding With The Big Show

When Roman Reigns missed his much anticipated one-on-one match against Seth Rollins at Night of Champions 2014 due to an injury, it put WWE in a pretty bad spot considering that Reigns was still riding a post-Shield popularity high. However, it was a spot WWE could have recovered from by putting Reigns in a hot angle when he returned.

Sadly, that was not the case here as Roman Reigns returned and entered a multi-week feud with the Big Show. What made this already lackluster pairing all the more detrimental was that Roman won most of their encounters by count out or disqualification. Considering that it was a foregone conclusion in the eyes of many that Roman was walking out of this feud on top, the decision to prolong his ultimate victory through indecisive finishes greatly diminished whatever excitement Reigns' comeback may have generated.

It makes sense that WWE didn't want to put Reigns in a prolonged angle so close to his eventual 2015 Royal Rumble victory, but this rivalry did no favors for the young star.
