10 Biggest Breakout Stars Of WWE's Brand Extension

4. Finn Balor

Finn Balor was already a major star by the time he was drafted to Raw as one of the top picks of the 2016 draft. A former NXT champion and the Superstar around whom that entire brand had been built, he was a franchise player, for sure.

As he arrived on Raw though, it became apparent he would benefit significantly from the spotlight Raw provided him. The Demon exploded onto the scene, defeating Kevin Owens, Cesaro and Rusev in a Fatal 4-Way match. From there, he pinned Roman Reigns in the main event of the same show, completing one of the most unlikely sweeps in recent Raw history.

After all, Superstars simply did not pin Reigns that cleanly on free television.

Balor rode the wave of momentum straight to SummerSlam, where he defeated Seth Rollins to become the first Universal champion.

A terribly disappointing injury halted his reign as champion before it ever got started, forcing the Irishman to relinquish just 24 hours after winning it. The leader of Balor Club fought his way back to the squared circle, returned the night after WrestleMania 33 and set his sights on reclaiming his spot atop the Raw brand.

As likely to battle Reigns in the main event as he is to work "The Drifter" Elias Samson in the midcard, Balor is a Superstar management can depend on to fill whatever need they may have for him, making him an invaluable asset for the brand's future.
