10 Biggest Missed Opportunities From The Undertaker's WWE Career
3. Undertaker Vs. Sting
You had to know this was going to be on the list, right? I mean, isn't it obvious? Unfortunately, it is obvious to everyone... except WWE.
The two unique parallels who dominated their respective companies before and during the infamous Monday Night Wars, The Undertaker and Sting have both done it all. One might even say that they've done everything there is to do. Well, everything except facing each other.
From their equally impressive tenures to their similarly intriguing Gothic gimmicks, fans have lobbied for The Undertaker and Sting to face off for decades. One could argue that the primary reason it never happened was down to the fact that Sting never made the jump to WWE following WCW's demise, but we could at least respect The Icon for choosing not to do so. And besides, Sting taking on 'Taker's American Badass persona of the early '00s just wouldn't have been as captivating.
That was a passable excuse until 2015, when WWE finally had the power to make it happen because, for the first time ever, Sting would compete in a WWE match - on the very same card that The Undertaker was co-headlining. And in a baffling misjudgment, they fed Sting to Triple H, buried WCW one more time and gave The Undertaker something else to do.
There's always the hope that we'll see these two at least share the ring once, but it's hard to forgive WWE for robbing us of what could have been an unforgettable moment (and pretty great match) at WrestleMania 31.
