10 Burning Questions For WWE Raw (April 6th)

8. Will There Be Blood?

Last week saw WWE turn back the clock a little, to before the days of PG television. Brock Lesnar was busted open at the hands of Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. The next night, Paul Heyman let fly a profanity-laced promo, with Stephanie McMahon also using some choice words. Then on Smackdown, Daniel Bryan somehow got busted wide open during his match with Sheamus. With these developments, the question needs to be asked: Is WWE turning its programming to more of a PG+? Sure, the company isn€™t going to just back to TV-14 antics like in the Attitude Era, but even the early to mid-2000s featured racy content, strong language and the occasional color. It€™s worth noting that Smackdown is a taped show, and not only did WWE continue on with the match, but it did not edit the program once Bryan began to bleed. (WWE previously has gone to a black-and-white screen when showing blood.) Is this indicative of an edgier feel to WWE? Maybe they can€™t get away with nearly as much as a decade ago, but if they can sneak in the occasional Easter egg for older fans, they will. We will have to keep watching in the coming weeks to see what (if anything) happens.
