It's truly a shame that leading National Football League quarterback sacking linebacker Kevin Greene didn't seriously pursue professional wrestling. A great physique, great promo and what appeared to be a true interest in the art of pro wrestling was wasted. Instead, we were treated to Steve "Mongo" McMichael (who feuded with Greene), and the rest...as they say...is history (or not). "Mongo" McMichael joining the wrestling ranks actually occurred when he and Greene partnered with McMichael to wrestle Ric Flair and Arn Anderson at the Great American Bash in 1996, McMichael turning on Greene to join the Four Horsemen.Occasionally Greene returned to WCW, most notably joining with (fellow ex-footballer) Bill Goldberg to fight the New World Order.
