10 Consistently Annoying Things WWE Does

By Andrew Soucek /

9. The WWE Universe

Why can€™t the fans of the WWE product be called...you know...€œfans?€ For the love of God it€™s not that hard! Go watch old WWF episodes and people in the audience are called €œfans€ by the announcers. Heck, go watch the NFL, MLB, or any other sport and people who attend their events are called €œfans.€ But one man on the planet doesn't like this term and his name is Vince McMahon. But why? We may never know. He has instead decided on €œThe WWE Universe€ to represent his fan base, which is an annoying and weird to say. Have you ever met a person in real life who didn€™t say they were a fan of wrestling, and instead said they were a member of the WWE Universe? This odd grammatical stance that McMahon has taken would be one thing if it was working, but it€™s not. It€™s not catching on whatsoever, and the entire thing only makes sense to Vince. Trying to force people to buy into your made up jargon is probably one of the first signs of an aging, eccentric millionaire. Hopefully when Triple H and Steph do takeover this is one of the first things they do away with.
