Of course, there are some instances in which the WWE have confiscated signs for the right reasons. Just over a week after WrestleMania XXX, and with speculation rampant over the possible signing of Sting to a WWE deal, some of the more engaged fans had wised up to the situation. There are no examples provided of the specific signs, but its reported by Wrestling Rumors (via PWInsider) that security were informed by WWE officials to remove any Sting-related signs from the April 14 showing of Monday Night Raw. While many may deem this an unnecessary act, its good to see the WWE trying to maintain the surprise factor in professional wrestling. Having fans make references to Sting would do very little other provide potential spoilers, while keeping any updates a secret would make a prospective return all the more special should it ultimately come to fruition. The rise of the internet and the accompanying dirt sheets has changed the world of pro wrestling forever. Whether or not you see that as a good thing, at least in this case the WWE is trying to give us the option of avoiding spoilers if we wish.
