In 1999, The Undertaker took on a career changing character that turned him from an undead hero into the "personification of evil", aptly monikered by Jim Ross. The Ministry of Darkness was formed by The Undertaker in a sequence of events that led to the kidnapping of Vince McMahon's daughter, Stephanie. The Ministry would come out to music with The Undertaker stating this
"Anail Nathrak, Dorthnei Diednei, Accept the Lord of Darkness as your saviour, Bathnal Nathra, de era Allow the purity of evil to guide you, Anail Nathrak, Dorthnei Diednei, Anail Nathrak, de era umbrana"
Seems pretty creepy and weird, right? It didn't stop there. The Ministry of Darkness would destroy people and kidnap them; turning them into followers of The Undertaker in the process. Not only did The Undertaker crucify Stone Cold Steve Austin to a giant Undertaker symbol that looked like a cross and have him risen above the arena, but he strapped Stephanie McMahon to the same symbol and tried to wed her in an "unholy marriage." This was by far the darkest character that The Undertaker ever portrayed. Hell, it even turned out that there was a higher power that The Undertaker was working for the entire time. And we all know who the Higher Power was...
