Though only really satisfying in the event of an eventual heel turn for the chinless wonder, James Ellsworth would make a perfect lamb to the slaughter for Goldberg.

Since unexpectedly lighting up Smackdown on a weekly basis after his squashing by Braun Strowman on Raw, James found himself on the end of incredible 'Ellsworth!' chants from WWE crowds all over the world.

But those chants are where the similarities between the two hit a brick wall. Though indeed 'any man with two hands has a fighting chance', those two hands may not even get to swing at Goldberg if the two ever found themselves locked in combat.

That said, Ellsworth is brilliant at taking a kicking, and if the circumstances of the story were to fit the encounter, the shared buzz around both characters make it likely that the match would generate huge reactions.

Undoubtedly, if cast as a babyface, Ellsworth would elicit too much sympathy. But as a non-threatening heel goon fed to Goldberg by an eventual Pay-Per-View opponent, he'd make great cannon fodder on TV in a hark back to Bill's old Nitro squashes. The Spear into Row Z would be worth the price of admission alone.
