Working as tag-team partners throughout the mid-1980's, Sting and The Ultimate Warrior were initially part of a stable called Power Team USA, before finding moderate success as The Bladerunners, a duo patterned after The Roadwarriors. Shortly afterwards, in 1987, Sting would make his way to the NWA/WCW organisation, whilst Warrior would go on to compete in World Class Championship Wrestling, before finding more significant fame in the WWF. From there, the men didn't cross paths again professionally until Warrior made his way to WCW in 1998, mainly for a feud against Hollywood Hogan. In truth, it seemed the only real reason Warrior was brought into the fold was so that Hogan could gain revenge for putting him over at WrestleMania VI years prior, and the feud fell flat. Retiring in November of '98, Warrior only wrestled one more match in his career, against Orlando Jordan of all people in 2008. By that point, the guy wasn't really in ring shape, but it's incredible to think that neither he nor Sting pitched the idea of working together during his final WCW run in the late-90's. Sure, the match wouldn't have been anything to write home about, but it'd still be considered a huge deal, and there would have been a market for it.
