Born Patricia Stratigeas in 1975, this icon of women's wrestling is frequently cited as one of the best to ever do it, and as a woman who helped elevate her gender's spot in the business to a higher level.

In the Attitude Era, she was a constant presence in some monumental stories. In the Ruthless Aggression Era, she was one of the measuring sticks for females in the company. And, as recently as 2023, she has entertained fans with her killer heel promos and rivalry with Becky Lynch.

As one of the most important wrestlers of the modern age, Trish has collected plenty of fans over the years, some more creepy than others. But even the most ardent of Stratusfactionists (that's what they're called, right?) won't know these obscure gems about Canada's finest.

From early ambitions to hidden hobbies to just some of the incredible accolades she has achieved over the years, this list will bring you even closer to the seven-time Women's Champion. (Not like that. It's 2023, move on!)

10. She Wanted To Be A Doctor

In an alternate universe, Trish could have been treating people with broken bones, instead of being the cause of them.

When Stratus attended York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, she did so to study biology and kinesiology, which is the field of science dedicated to how the human body moves.

Trish has said in interviews that she planned to go to medical school after finishing her degree to become a fully trained doctor. She said this was because she enjoyed helping people and had an exploratory nature as a youngster, which explains why she found the absolutely mental world of pro wrestling so fascinating.

Unfortunately for the young student, her teachers went on strike in 1997, derailing her plans to move along with her academic career. Having been a standout in soccer and hockey whilst at uni, Trish decided to pursue something more athletic as her career, which is how she landed on fitness modelling.

After appearing on numerous magazine covers in the late 90s, she was scouted by the WWE and signed to a deal in 1999. The rest, as they say, is history.
