10 Great Babyface Wrestlers Who Became SHOCKINGLY Good Heels
6. Mick Foley
As Cactus Jack in WCW and in the early days of his Mankind gimmick, Mick Foley had been a very effective heel numerous times.
Things changed for the one-eared maniac at Survivor Series 1998, when Vince McMahon screwed him out of the WWE Championship.
This was when the real Foley started shining through.
Fans got behind the loveable psychopath in a big way. Foley was just impossible to hate. He was hard-working, self-sacrificing, and unbelievably humble, even when he finally captured the big one. Off the back of this babyface run, it looked unlikely that fans would ever boo him again. That all changed when WWE resurrected his old stomping ground of ECW.
In the build-up to One Night Stand 2006, Foley turned his back on ECW and nailed his colours to the WWE mast. This set up a match involving his old rival Terry Funk, as well as barbed wire, fire, and all the other hoopla you'd expect from these two. Foley was able to get people to boo him after spending years as the most loveable man in wrestling. If that doesn't convince you how good he was, then nothing will.
