10 Greatest Ultimate Opportunists In WWE History

10. Jack Swagger

WrestleMania XXVI saw Jack Swagger win Money in the Bank in a major upset. A continuous loser in the weeks leading up to the match, he overcame stars such as Mark Henry and Christian to emerge victorious as the possessor of a guaranteed world title match.

He waited only two days, watching from a distance as Edge flattened world heavyweight champion Chris Jericho with a spear. Then, when the time was right, he rushed to the ring and cashed in. He lifted the future Hall of Famer off the mat, executed a big gut-wrench powerbomb, and became one of the youngest wrestlers to ever hold a top title in Vince McMahon's promotion.

Swagger was an opportunist who capitalized on an opening and etched his name in the history books alongside the likes of Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, The Ultimate Warrior, Bret Hart, and Shawn Michaels.

Of course, his title reign was muddled by poor booking and a desire by WWE creative to focus on ageing stars such as Rey Mysterio, Big Show, and Kane, but there's no question Swagger marked himself out as one the great opportunists.
