The rampant chants of €œCM Punk! CM Punk!€ can be heard regularly throughout the audiences of both major American promotions. Even without TV exposure for several months, the former ROH stalwart and WWE Champion is still ridiculously over with audiences all across the globe. Punk left the WWE under something of a cloud earlier this year and hasn€™t been heard from since, so his big return to the ring is bound to be worth some major bucks to whoever can book him first. If TNA can afford his salary (which would no doubt be pretty hefty), the promotion could easily build itself around Punk the same way it once did with Kurt Angle. In fact, Punk is a perfect fit for TNA, because he has genuine indie-cred, as well as massive exposure as a former WWE star, which are the two things that TNA are generally always happy to spend their money on. If TNA began a major viral marketing campaign, with CM Punk€™s debut show at the end of it, they could literally double their audience overnight. Punk as TNA Champ could potentially do for TNA what Hulk Hogan did for WCW all those years ago...
