10 Guys That Could Save TNA

By Chris Quicksilver /

9. Eddie Edwards

Originally, this section was going to be dedicated to Jeff Hardy, but we called an audible at the last minute. Why? Because TNA fans haven€™t seen just what Eddie Edwards is capable of as a singles wrestler yet. As one half of The Wolves (AKA The American Wolves) with Davey Richards, Edwards is 50% of the best tag team working anywhere in the world right now. The Wolves, with their fast, fluidic and modern style of wrestling, are breathlessly exciting, evoking shades of great teams of the past like The British Bulldogs, The Rockers and Los Guerreros, but somehow throwing something new into the mix at the same time. Edwards€™ partner, Davey Richards, is also a massively talented and much respected worker, who could easily wear a World Championship belt around his waist. However, Eddie Edwards is just as good and benefits more from natural good looks and a likeable, easygoing demeanour. Both men are former ROH Champions, with cast-iron reputations for delivering great matches. If Edwards and Richards were to eventually split up, with Richards turning heel and both men challenging each other for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, the results could be absolutely thrilling. €˜Lone Wolf€™ Eddie Edwards could be a major draw and a poster boy for TNA, mixing good looks and charisma with a great work rate and quality main event matchups.
