Whether you like it or not, Roman Reigns came out victorious in the Royal Rumble this past Sunday. It wasn't welcomed with fanfare, but for the near future, it is the reality that we must now accept for the main event at Wrestlemania 31. Thanks to Occupy Raw last year by Daniel Bryan, the main event was tweaked. Time will tell if there is another takeover involving some of the guys screwed most by The Authority such as Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, and/or Ryback. The Royal Rumble was really a tale of two halves, and once Daniel Bryan was eliminated by Bray Wyatt, the crowd started to turn as the writing was on the wall for Roman Reigns to be penciled into the main event of Wrestlemania. Once Dean Ambrose was dumped over the top rope by Big Show and Kane, it was clearly obvious that Reigns was going to win and the boo's escalated. In the end, a lot of fan favorites were treated poorly, and the right man didn't win in a lot of people's minds. The one thing that always holds true, no matter how much controversy there is, in the Royal Rumble is that it is all about the numbers. This year there were records broken, a surprise ironman, a 3-way tie for the most eliminations, and of course the annual Santino Award for the least time in the Rumble. Numbers rule this match because there are so many different ways you can break down the different aspects of the Royal Rumble. This article will take a look at 10 of those key numbers.
