10 Last-Minute WWE Great Balls Of Fire Rumours You Need To Know

2. This Is The Last Great Balls Of Fire

As mentioned earlier, when Great Balls of Fire was first announced, all fans could talk about was just how ridiculous the name was. Not only was it a reference to a 60-year-old song, but nothing about it seemed to scream "guys about to fight each other." Perhaps even worse, an early logo design for the show looked quite phallic, but it was later replaced.

Kurt Angle recently shed some light on the name, explaining that when it was suggested in the presence of Vince McMahon, WWE's Chairman found it hilarious, and that was that. It's no surprise, really - the company's output usually feels like it's catering to a 72-year-old man who giggles when he hears the word "balls."

Despite McMahon's mirth, though, odds are that this will be a one-and-done PPV. While there's no awkward stipulation hamstringing the show a la Fatal 4-Way or Breaking Point, the name is just too stupid to pop up again.

Right?
