10 Leading Contenders To Win 2022 WWE Money In The Bank Ladder Matches

3. Drew McIntyre

While his name was never really going to be too far away from the top of most people's lists of potential briefcase holders this year, recent news of WWE finally returning to the UK with a Premium Live Event under the name of Clash at the Castle has seriously boosted The Scottish Warrior's Money in the Bank hopes.

An event of that size and historic importance, with more than 59,000 tickets already being requested for WWE's first PPV-sized UK show in three decades, will no doubt require a suitably epic main event. And in Roman Reigns putting his belts on the line against Drew McIntyre inside of a sold-out Principality Stadium, you'd struggle to book much bigger.

This would all understandably depend on whether WWE decide to run the programme into the ground between now and then, with it already looking like the former WWE Champion could be next in line for a shot at The Tribal Chief at Hell in a Cell. And WWE's trigger-happy ways of late when it pertains to the MITB briefcase also don't inspire too much belief in them being able to hold off on a Drew cash-in for a few months either.

Either way, be it a Tyson Fury battle of the Brits or attempt to Claymore his way through the Head of the Table, Drew looks destined for a career-defining moment in Cardiff.
