This time several years ago, fans were waiting with bated breath to see if The Undertaker's WrestleMania opponent would turn out to be Sting. They would, ultimately, be disappointed when that didn't come to pass. Even more recently, fans were settling yet still excited to see the outcome of the announced Triple H vs. Sting match at WrestleMania 31. Many of those fans would be disappointed once again. Now, in the build to WrestleMania 32, Sting is nowhere to be found on the card, but appears as the headliner of WrestleMania Eve's Hall Of Fame ceremony, a near certain indicator of career finality within WWE. So being that 'The Vigilante's' WWE career is all but over, that would leave his WWE record at 0-2 and his WrestleMania record at 0-1 with an inexplicable post-match handshake and embrace to boot. His short WWE run, as a whole, can only be categorized as a failure, and his WrestleMania 'career' the same. Sting's legendary professional wrestling career speaks for itself, but his time on the Grandest Stage of Them All reads more like TNA than WWE.
