Despite masterful pre-match promos at WrestleManias VI and VII and VIII, Jake Roberts' WrestleMania career featured many non-finishes and losses for the man from Stone Mountain, Georgia. Whether he was going the distance with Rick Rude at IV, fighting to a lame disqualification victory over Andre The Giant at V or a countout loss to Ted DiBiase in a Million Dollar Championship match at VI, Jake Roberts wrestled in many WrestleMania matches but few ended satisfactorily. Pinfall losses to Honky Tonk Man, The Undertaker and Vader (as part of a six-man tag) rounded out Roberts' Mania career and when fans think of Jake, it's usually with other moments that he's associated with. His feud with Randy Savage comes to mind, or the vignettes with Ultimate Warrior where Jake turned heel. His teaming with The Undertaker or the preceding death of Damien at the hands of Earthquake are memorable moments involving Jake that have nothing to do with WrestleMania, too. While he certainly had his share of WrestleMania matches, he unfortunately has no real greay WrestleMania legacy. Despite that, it had little affect on his reputation and he is still considered one of the greatest of all-time.
