The great thing about the Money in the Bank briefcase, currently held by Seth Rollins, is that it allows WWE to change the direction of the company at any time they want if they so choose. Since Rollins is a guy that they say is the future of the company on camera and he legitimately is that in the grand scheme of things, they have a lot of options. He's the perfect kind of wrestler to be holding the briefcase because if WWE wants to do something different leading up to this year's Money in the Bank (or earlier) then he can cash in that briefcase, become the WWE Champ and go from there. It's important because perhaps WWE is reluctant to truly make Roman Reigns "the guy" with a really long WWE Title reign, so that could lead to Rollins cashing in the briefcase on Reigns either at WrestleMania or the next night on Raw to create a big moment. That way Reigns can go after a new champion while trying to earn the respect of the fans. We have seen some great Money in the Bank cash-ins that meant a lot for particular wrestlers while others were disappointing. Due to Rollins' bright future, he's somebody that WWE will be smart about using the right way, so when he does cash in we can expect it to be a big deal.
