...Booker T! Another who made his name as part of a tag team of brothers, Booker T truly broke out as a singles wrestler in 1997 as a solid midcard act, but WCW's increasingly perilous position led to him becoming a main event staple in 2000 after the firing of Hulk Hogan and departure of other top stars. Booker would hold the title five times in total, but four of those runs came in the last eight months of the company. His final run, which began after defeating Scott Steiner on the last episode of Monday Nitro, was his longest at 120 days, obviously helped by the fact the company then went out of business! Booker returned to the spotlight several months later when his new employer WWE kicked off the WCW invasion angle. His WCW World title reign came to an end at the hands of Kurt Angle on an episode of Smackdown. Booker won the belt back six days later, becoming a five-time champion in the process and leading to the wonderful 'FIVE TIME! FIVE TIME!' catchphrase which he still uses to this day.
