3. Announce A Midcard Title

At present, the AEW roster is in a state of astute balance.

The top tier (Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho) is established, comprised of guys either in their physical primes, or equipped with a legendary aura. There is a less heralded veteran presence in the midcard ranks, highlighted by performers (CIMA, Dustin Rhodes) who can withstand losses to bleed in the undercard tier of very young, emerging talent (Darby Allin, Jungle Boy).

Still, that undercard tier is years removed from headlining basketball-sized arenas; arguably, AEW requires a bridge to prominence via relevance in order to frame them as standouts, in the interim, in the form of a midcard championship.

There is scope to do something brand new here - perhaps an Open-World Championship of sorts, with invitations extended to the outer reaches of the Independent scene. This is consistent with AEW's pledge to showcase new talent that haven't entered the mainstream radar.

But a Television Title, defended weekly, is something that could add must-see stakes to a show that at some point will inevitably feel familiar, less novel - and MJF is the perfect first holder for it. He is very much a TV wrestler, and such a segment would create the perfect platform for his genius verbal game.
