10 Major WWE Superstars That Hated WCW

By Aaron Hyden /

1. Vince McMahon

Who else could it really be in the top spot? WCW has pissed a lot of people off through the years, and have done so in a variety of different ways, but they actively tried to put Vince McMahon out of business for several years, pulling out all the stops in trying to do so. Of course, the WWF was Vince's everything. By every account we've ever heard, he doesn't have a lot of friends, by choice. He doesn't have hobbies outside of wrestling. He's a very private, guarded person. His promotion is all he is, and all he wants to be. Keep in mind, this was before he had any grandchildren, which have really mellowed him out and given his life more of a purpose, as grandchildren tend to do for people. The "attacks" from WCW forced Vince to change with the times. He had to change the way he approached his promotion, from the way it is booked to the way it's presented, and everything in between. Those changes helped to turn things around, and he began to see the benefits of it right away. He became a billionaire because of those changes. He saw the WWF reach heights like never before. He saw his roster of talented in-ring workers and great characters rally around him, and around each other, to put on the best product possible. They were all working hard, and it showed. When it looked like the WWF was on the verge of bankruptcy, they turned it all around, and they put WCW up against the ropes until they couldn't fight back anymore. In wrestling, we always see people achieve things that make them very satisfied. Maybe it's someone like Daniel Bryan winning the WWE Title at WrestleMania after years of people telling him he was too small to even be on the WWE roster, let alone reach the top of the company. However, there has never been, nor will there ever be, a bigger gratifying moment than when Vince got the word that his purchase of WCW was finalized. For all the hell that they put him through, personally and professionally... he could finally breathe a sigh of relief and know that, after everything, he had won.
