Ask even the most casual of wrestling fans who John Cena or Randy Orton are, and it's likely you'll be met with a knowing glance, because these men have been around the WWE system for so long that it's almost impossible not to know their faces. Then, ask that same person who Doug Basham is, and a quizzical expression will cross their brow, even though that wrestler was once deemed someone who would make as big an impact as the likes of Cena or Orton. A 4-time OVW Heavyweight Champion, Doug had all the tools to make a splash on the main roster, but his tenure on Raw and Smackdown was blighted by an utterly terrible gimmick. Aligned with another stand out in developmental, Damaja, the pair became known as The Basham Brothers, Doug and Danny, a fairly routine tag-team who impressed WWE management with their work inside the ring. Making the jump up to the main roster, The Bashams were handed Linda Miles as their manager, a female with an impressive physique who had won the second season of WWE's Tough Enough program. At first, it seemed like standard fare, until Miles - known as Shaniqua - was made into a dominatrix, and started treating The Basham Brothers like her sex slaves.
