10 Most Baffling WWE Signings Ever

5. Scott Hall (2002)

Returning to the WWF in February, 2002, Scott Hall was reintroduced to the company (in storyline) by Vince McMahon, who had seemingly brought in the nWo to destroy the entire company, one he had - in fantasy, at least - lost control of to Ric Flair. Alongside his big buddy Kevin Nash and Hollywood Hogan, Hall looked a shadow of the performer he had been the last time hardcore WWF fans had seen him in 1996. Part of the reason for this is that Hall had wasted away during the latter years of his WCW run, collecting money on a guaranteed contract and offering very little in return. For all intents and purposes, even though the man was going through a lot of personal problems at the time, he was a waste of money for the folks in Atlanta, and he proved to be an ill-advised investment for the McMahon family too. Only lasting a few short months back in his old stomping-ground, the one time Razor Ramon entered several lazy performances, and it was clear that he wasn't going to work out. In many ways, what were the company expecting? Did they really think that Hall, after years of doing little in WCW, would suddenly become the world's most motivated employee?
