10 Most Bizarre WWE Superstar Injuries Ever
10. Shinsuke Nakamura Bitten By A Dog
Shinsuke Nakamura has been an active in-ring competitor for over two decades and has endured his fair share of injuries. However, he wasn't prepared for what hit him, or what bit him, when he came in to work a house show in June 2018.
Nakamura was supposed to work a live event at the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, California, on 25 June 2018. The Bakersfield Police Department's EOD team was performing a routine protective sweep of the arena before the event with their explosive detection trained canine team and bomb technicians.
Nakamura was already in the arena during the security check, and as the canine team entered the room where he was in to sniff it out for any potential threat, one of the dogs bit Nakamura on his left leg. He was taken to a local medical facility after the incident, and reports stated that his leg was "very sore" from the bite.
WWE pulled him from the live event and the following episode of SmackDown, where he was supposed to take on Jeff Hardy for the United States Championship. He also didn't compete at WWE's Japan tour the same week and got sidelined for two weeks before returning to the ring at a house show on 9 July 2018.
