10 Most Boring Wrestlers Of 2016
7. Eva Marie
WWE fans were first introduced to Eva Marie on E!'s Total Divas in 2013, where her entrance to WWE and her subsequent attempts to adjust to the wrestling world were documented. More than three years later, she's still struggling to find her footing.
Working as a heel in NXT, Eva was getting more experience, but it didn't seem to translate to good matches... ever. An April bout with Asuka saw Eva dominate the Women's Champion (WWE-style contests typically feature a heel getting the heat on the babyface for a large portion of the match, even if the heel is way overmatched) and the result was one of the most tedious matches of the entire year. Still, Eva's incompetence didn't keep her in development for long, and when the roster was split, she was called up to Smackdown.
Unfortunately, there was still no confidence in her ability to actually work, and so her debut was postponed each and every week by a variety of "accidental" occurrences - first an injury, then a wardrobe malfunction, then a traffic jam. Though some praised the story being told, it was just a boring way of building to something even more boring.
In August, she was suspended for violating WWE's Wellness Policy, and then signed on to film a few movies, keeping her off Smackdown since.
