10 Most Epic WWE Debuts Ever

4. The Undertaker (WWE Survivor Series 1990)

In an unprecedented and sombre moment, WWE fans around the world said goodbye to The Undertaker this past weekend. It was one of the most heart-breaking scenes in recent wrestling history, and a worthy bookend to the career of 'The Phenom'.

His story didn't begin with tears and admiration, however, but fear and trepidation.

After briefly appearing for WCW and New Japan Pro Wrestling, 'Mean' Mark Callous was unleashed upon WWE in a form similar to the one we've all come to know and respect. Introduced as the final member of Ted DiBiase's Survivor Series team, 'Taker's imposing height and unfeeling stare struck fear into the hearts of every fan in attendance. His no-selling of the Hart Foundation's offence only compounded this, and his delivery of the first (and one of the most brutal-looking) Tombstone Piledrivers told us everything we needed to know: you don't mess with 'The Deadman'.

The Undertaker went on to eliminate both Koko B. Ware and Dusty Rhodes from the match, before being counted out for continuing to assault 'The American Dream' outside the ring. A worthy first appearance for one of the greatest of all time.
