Climactic Event: Wrestlemania V Location: Atlantic City Date: April 2, 1989 Miss Elizabeth: the classy, beautiful, first lady of wrestling. She the WWEs Helen of Troy: the face that launched a thousand clotheslines. And she was also the catalyst for the Mega Powers breakup.It all started on Main Event, when Hulk Hogan, concerned over Miss Elizabeth well-being, carried her to the locker room during a tag match, leaving the Macho Man stranded in the ring. Things pretty much devolved from there. Macho Man clocked Hogan in the head with the belt backstage, and it set the stage for an epic showdown at Wrestlemania V. Hogan won that match, and Savage turned full heel, replacing Miss Elizabeth with the shrill Sensational Sherri. It would be another two years before Elizabeth and Savage would at reconcile at Wrestlemania VII, in a heart wrenching Wrestlemania moment for the ages.
