5. Vince McMahon Cheats On Linda McMahon With Trish Stratus
Climactic Event: Wrestlemania XVII Location: Houston Date: April 1, 2001 I think almost everyone in the WWE would like to forget that this weirdly hateful, misogynistic angle ever happened. Vince McMahon demanded a divorce from his wife Linda, and Linda, fragile woman that she was, had a nervous breakdown that left her in a traumatized, catatonic state it was later inferred that she was drugged on sedatives as well. Vince, in a completely self-serving storyline, hooked up with Trish Stratus, and would make out with her right in front of his wife. Vinces daughter took exception to this, and in a particularly distasteful segment, Vince and Stephanie poured sewage on Trish, with Vince dismissing her as daddys little toy. The following week, Vince forced Trish to walk around on all fours in the ring, bark like a dog, and strip down to her bra and panties. Yeah. Awkward.Linda would eventually come to, and low blow her cheating husband at Wrestlemania XVII. Trish Stratus would go on to become an incredible wrestler and a member of the WWE Hall of Fame, but this was a particularly low, regrettable moment in a brilliant career.
